West Indian Pea leaves 1 bunch

1 Black Palm Jaggery Cake

White onions - 2 big orange size

100 ml Palm oil -

Curry leaves 20 nos

2 tbsp Mustard

Broken Urad and Bengal Gram dhal mix - 4 tbsp

Green Chillies - 4 nos

10 Crushed pepper kernels -

2 tbsp Salt

4 tbsp Turmeric Powder -

2 tbsp Chilli Powder -

1 Grated coconut

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Peel the leaves and wash.Boil the Agathi Keerai in hot water with turmeric powder and salt untill soft for 15 mins.Drain the water.

Step 2

In an kadai,add palm oil,mustard dhal mix,curry leaves.Dice the white onions into cubes and add.Saute untill brown.

Step 3

Cut the green chillies longitudinal and add as a whole.Add crushed pepper and salt.Break Black Palm Jaggery into small pieces and add.

Step 4

Add the boiled Agathi leaves and close and cook for 15 mins.Stir with low flame.Sprinkle Chilli powder and switch off the flame.Add grated coconut and mix well.

Step 5

Serve with hot Parboiled rice.
