INGREDIENTS :
Small unbloomed banana flowers 2
Salted turmeric water or Buttermilk
For the Pooran Fillings :
Mysore Dhal - 50 grams
Green gram - 50 grams
Moong Dhal - 50 grams
Horse Gram - 50 grams
For the Mixture :
Gram flour - 200 gms
Sweet onions - 2
Green Chillies - 4
Curry leaves - 10
Vegetable oil - 300 ml
Idli Soda salt - 1 tsp
Corn flower - 2 tsp
Maida - 4 tsp
Ajinomoto - 1 tsp
Salt - 2 tsp

DIRECTIONS :
Peel the outer elastic skin and Cut the Banana Flowers into small pieces.
If the flower is bloomed,separate the petals.Remove the free tepal and stigma which are elastic and inedible.Chop and soak in buttermilk or turmeric water for 15 mins untill the browning resin has been given out.
Soak Mysore Dhal,Moong dhal,Green Gram and Horse gram in water for 1 hour.Then grind it coarsely on a mixer.
Chop sweet onions,curry leaves,green chillies.
In a bowl add gram flour,idli soda salt,ajinomoto,corn flour,maida,salt and make an batter.Add the chopped vegetables.Add grinded dhal mixture and add chopped banana flowers.
Let the batter set for 15 minutes before cooking to bring about crispiness and the batter not stick or separate in oil.
Heat the vegetable oil in a kadai.Make vada shape or round shape or oval shape batter and donot overload.
Fry in low flame for 5-10 minutes.
Serve hot with tomato sauce.
