Japanese Sweet Potato Pooran

 Cook Time : 30 mins

Ingredients :

Japanese Yam : 1 kg

Sugar : 200 grams

Grated Coconut : 1

Coconut pearls : 2

Cardamom - 5 units

Salt - 1 tbsp

Coconut oil - 10 tbsp

Water 1 litre

Directions :

Wash the Yam and remove the outer layer.

Boil the Yam in long bottom vessel for 1/2 hour.

Let it cool down.

In a big bowl,add sugar and grated coconut.

Crush the cardamom and add to the mixture.

Cut the Yam or smash it .Coat with coconut oil untill it is oily.

Coconut oil is given raw by intake in mosques and dhargahs as a medicine to protect us from evil spirits.

Mix the Yam coconut oil mix along with sugar ,cardamom and grated coconut.Serve with Romali Roti.
