Radish Coconut Koottu

Ingredients

1/2 kg Radish -

1 Egyptian Coconut -

4 tbsp Sabji Masala -

1 tbsp Salt -

4 tbsp Palm Sugar -

For the Seasoning :

100 ml Coconut Oil -

Curry leaves 10 nos

Coriander leaves 1 handfull

1 tbsp Mustard Seeds -

1 tbsp Pepper -

2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste -

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Peel the radish.Grate the radish in a big grater.Soak in cold water for 10 mins untill the starch leaves.

Step 2

Cut the coconut into pieces and grind into smooth paste.

Step 3

In a big bottom pan,add coconut oil and split the mustard seeds.Add curry leaves and coriander leaves.Add ginger garlic paste and saute.Add Sabji masala and pepper powder and salt.

Step 4

Add the soaked raddish and fry for 20 minutes in low flame.

Step 5

Add the grinded one full coconut mix.Add 1/2 litre of water.Cook in hig flame.Bring to boil.Stir occassionally.

Step 6

Stir to thick consistency untill the oil comes up floating.Switch off the flame and enjoy with steamed Basmathi Rice !
