Ingredients :
Horse Gram - 200 grams
Garlic - 20 nos
Curry leaves - a few
Panch Phoran Mix - 1 tbsp
Sambar Powder - 1 tbsp

Salt - as per taste
Pulpy Tomatoes - 4
Tamarind - lemon size
Onions - 1
Turmeric Powder - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli - 2
Directions :
Dry Roast the Horse Gram in a pan and break into half in a mixer.Coarsely grind in pulse mode.
Boil the Horse Gram along with turmeric powder,tomatoes,salt and tamarind for 35 mins.Allow it to cool.Filter the soup and keep aside.
Blend the horsegram mix into a fine paste.Add to the soup.
In a pan heat mustard oil,panch Phoran Mix,garlic,curry leaves,red chilli,onions and sambar powder.
Fry until golden brown
Add to the sauce.
Horse Gram Curry is ready.Serve with Cooked Rice and Urad Appalams
