KANYAKUMARI RASA VADAI


Ingredients : 

Mix 1
Unpolished Toor Dhal - 1 cup
D Avignon Black Raddish - 3

Bottle Gourd - 1 

Mix 2
Red Onion - 2
Roma Tomatoes - 4
Green Chillies - 5
Copra - 1/2 

Tamarind - 1 lemon size
Jeera Powder - 2 tbsp
Crushed Peppercorns - 1 tbsp

Directions : 

Soak Toor Dhal for an hour .Wash thoroughly.

Microwave Black Raddish and Bottle Gourd for 10 mins at 70°C

Mix together and pulse.Extract the Water.

Grind coarse Red onion ,roma tomatoes,green chillies,copra together.Extract the Water.


For the Batter :
Add together all the Raw ingredients and add rice flour for thickening and salt.

Make into crispy flat vadas of one palm sized round.Bigger the circle greater the taste.

For the Rasam : 

Mix all the Wet ingredients and tamarind,salt,jeera powder,pepper kernels.Boil untill done.
